It has been busy!

August 2, 2008

It has gotten busy enough that we are having a hard time keeping up with the blog and I apologize for that.  I will try to do a better job of keeping up with things, but below you will find some of the videos that we have been putting out from our events.

My most important photography assignment to date!

June 15, 2008

Today, I worked as a second shooter to an up-and-coming photographer who has admired my work for the last few years.  Actually, he thinks that I am one of the best photographers in world, but has reminded me on more than one occasion that my job is actually to be the world’s best dad also.  The morning was spent with my seven-year-old son, Christopher.  Christopher has, on more than one occasion, picked up a camera and taken some great shots.  I want him to enjoy shooting and feel at one with his camera.  I want him to have the confidence that many of todays photographer’s lack.  At the same time, I want him to see the qualities that some other photographers have to help others.  Photographers like Mark Eric, Susan Stevison, and Azar, who actually love to advise, mentor, teach, and give back - that’s who I want Christopher to look up to and admire.  Not like others that I won’t mention who are mean-spirited and arrogant.  From my standpoint, these guys are bad for the business.  There is certainly enough work to keep us all as busy as we want to be without trying to hurt each other with pettiness and lame stunts!  Well, off of that soap box!

Christopher and I went to the Alexandria Zoo and started out on what he called his Safari. I let him shoot what he wanted, how he wanted and answered any questions that he had.

Twin Cites Tri 08

May 25, 2008

Well race directors Bruce and Mitzi Fairbanks did it again this year with an exceptional race. I wasn’t able to make this race because Christopher was throwing the shot put in his first track meet and since I have been coaching him, I thought that it was important to be with him. Felicia, and the Hutch’s did a great job and as always managed to have a great time.  Below you will find the video of this year that we put together.

Night Life 5K

May 4, 2008

The Night Life 5K is always a fun race to shoot. It winds its way through downtown Alexandria, and the historic buildings are a nice backdrop as the runners compete. As always, Run Wild MultiSports organized a fantastic event.

Steps By Stephanie Dance Recital 2008

May 4, 2008

We had a great time shooting Stephanie’s dance recital, Stay Tuned.  All the kids did a great job and we were especially proud of our daughter Elizabeth as she danced in her first recital.

Below is a general video of the recital itself!

Crossroads Cup 2008

April 6, 2008

This was our first year to shoot the Crossroads Cup and we were honored that we were asked.  This is not our first rodeo and I have to say that I was impressed with the fact that every game that we shot started on time.  The one disappointment was the weather.  It rained most of the night before and the edges of the fields were just sloppy.  As a kid I enjoyed the mud, but as an adult I don’t enjoy it that much. I left home in a summer microfiber shirt and shorts. . . . . . that was a mistake.  It was cold and windy.  I thought I would tough it out, but by lunch I had given up on being tough.  I had to run home and while I was there I put on a long sleeve shirt and warm-ups.

I had a great time and met some really nice folks from all over the state.  I even got to see my long time friend Houston Jones, from Lake Charles.

Well despite the weather being overcast and cold for the entire day we had a blast.  I have put up a couple of pictures that I think sums up the day.

Rapides Junior Runners - Mardi Gras Madness

January 21, 2008

One word sums it up, COLD!  The racers had a great time, and they didn’t have to worry about getting hot.    Thanks to our great staff of photographers, Darrell, Stephanie, Jeff, Dewayne, and Felicia for helping make this a great event for us.  We love shooting this event and look forward to working to help this organization grow even larger.  Be sure to check back in the next couple of days for something that is exciting.

It has been an unbelievable year!

January 18, 2008

2007 was an unbelievable year.  We have grown and expanded our business above and beyond what we expected.  Our corporate market is really taking off.  You might ask why!  Well from what we can tell it comes down to this.
We understand that customer service is what drives our industry and we realize that while what we do is an art form, customer service has to be our priority.

Well below you will find some of the work we have preformed over the last few months for our corporate clients.
